October National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October National Breast Cancer Awareness Month john mccormack mccormick realtor real estate nm rio rancho albuquerque

National Breast Cancer Awareness Month begins October 1st and ends on October 31st.  Breast cancer can, will and does attack women and yes men of all ages and heritage.  With today’s medical technology there is no reason to postpone getting a check up and being a survivor instead of a victim.

I lost a beautiful, vibrant sister to breast cancer at age 40.  She left behind a husband and two beautiful little boys.  Only last year my Mother in Law was diagnosed with breast cancer so National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is very personal to me.

Ladies and gents too check for lumps, bumps even slight changes and if you haven’t had a mammogram well there’s no better time than booking one during October.

If you don’t have insurance call your local Health Department or your Doctor and ask for free programs offering mammograms and physicals in your area.

Call a friend.  Call a family member.  Spread the word October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month so be proactive!  I wear my pink shirt with pride!

John: The more that spread the word about National Breast Cancer Awareness Month the better.  I know there will be events all across the nation urging women (and men) to do self exams and seek medical advice IF they believe something is amiss.

John, it can be a deadly disease but if proper screening done and vigilance on one's health it is  survivable disease...we need more research in order to catch it early.  Pink with pride!

John you certainly do a wonderful job with PSA's and getting the word out for various causes. Yesterday I enjoyed working only a couple of hours rather than the usual 10-12. it was a nice break. Have a good day, a little cool here today, bt a great day to start showing some homes.

John,  As a breast cancer survivor this is very personal to me as well. I wear my shirts and wrist bands with pride and so much gratitude to have won the fight against the Big C.

October 11, 2013 is my one year anniversary of being cancer free.

John, I think all of us have been affected by breast cancer in some way. This is a great reminder not only that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month but, also to get routine check ups. Early detection can make a big difference.

Good morning all...  Good to see everyone today and appreciate you for dropping by.  Hope you each are working to make it a great week in and out of real estate.

Debbie called it to my attention that none would know what's up with the Scottsboro and not Albuquerque breast cancer shirt.  We bought it last year while supporting my Mother in Law in her hometown of Scottsboro.  It's my understanding that most Fire Departments annually sell breast cancer awareness tee shirts in case you want to check with the one near you.

I hope you do take breast cancer serious and if you haven't had your annual check up get one.  Like we discussed men we need to be aware of changes we may have as well. This is not a gender cancer!

Hello John, always a great cause to promote awareness and raise money. We can never do enough for these strong brave women, hopefully one day they can find a cure for all cancer.

So sorry John, that is rough. I wish they could come up with a cure for cancer. The woman who has been doing my hair since 1990 had her husband just pass away a couple of weeks ago from lung cancer and it really tore us up.

What you are doing is fantastic to use AR to spread the word.

So sorry you lost your sister to this disease John and I hope your Mother in Law beats this with your love and support.  Great shout out to your community and everywhere to raise awareness.

John, this is definitely an affliction that has touched everyone. I lost my sister earlier this year from it and it is just tragic. The suffering will never be forgotten, but with enough support and contributions to the right organization, perhaps this disease can be erased in all its forms. Thank you!
