Mr. Lincoln Rose Thrives In Albuquerque

Mr. Lincoln Rose Thrives In Albuquerque

Thanks to wife Debbie Greenthumb and Miracle Grow our backyard is filled with summer color.  This Mr. Lincoln rose has been blooming since April.  Visitors bypass the house and head straight out to the back yard and garden.  As Xeriscape is more the normal in Albuquerque most people find our backyard more of a haven and refuge as do we.

Good Morning John,  Debbie does have a great greenthumb to produce such a great flower.  Good Job Debbie.

You should show us more pictures of your backyard, John. This rose is beautiful. I garden, and grow lots of veggies every year, but I don't have a knack for roses. Great job, Debbie.

Wow, what a colourful rose John, Debbie sure knows how to brighten up a back yard. That's a real talent, one I wish I had.

Hi John,

What a beautiful rose and I agree, the color is lovely and so vibrant. Mr. Lincoln himself would have been proud of this rose.

Good job Debbie.  I can just smell that Mr. Lincoln from here.  That is a beauty.  Nothing like fresh roses grown right in your own backyard.

Wow, what a stunning rose! Thanks for sharing Debbie's handiwork, John. This Mr. Lincoln Rose would brighten up anyone's day.

John,

Nice picture of the rose. I was hoping yo would give us at least one picture of the entire yard. Food for thought on additional blog. Xeriscape landscaping I would think should almost be a necessity in Albuquerque.

John, could I use Debbie's thumb :)  Seriously, what a beautiful rose only wish mine would do as well. We did put up deer netting and we hope our rose bushes will start to grow.

John - You are so lucky to have Debbie Greenthumb at your home.  A beautiful yard is a lot of work, and skill.  Enjoy your summer day in Albuquerque!

Mr Lincoln roses have to be one of the sweetest smelling flowers on the planet. Around here in Virginia, many people plant knockout roses because they produce a ton of blooms.  However, they just don't hold a candle to this classic!

John,

That's the secret Miracle Grow, beautiful, thanks for the inside gardener's tip.

John, I'm not familiar with Mr. Linclon Rose, but it is beautiful.  Is the a large rose...fragrant?

Hey John, that sure is a gorgeous rose. You should display some more of Debbies great work in your garden! Happy first of summer to you both. I am still at work on the house doing the detail projects, still got some big projects like the window replacements forthcoming. I mostly enjoy the landscaping part myself, you know boys playin in the dirt. Have a Thortastic Thorsday-LOL-just saw the movie:)
