ActiveRain Poured Into Santa Fe NM
On Saturday May 5th ,2012 ActiveRain poured into Santa Fe NM. We had a small gathering of 4.75 ActiveRain members representing 3 different states at the fun and quite educational meet-up.

Thanks to local Santa Fe Realtor® Emily Medvec for her efforts in finding a great restaurant to meet called the Rio Chama. The ambiance was very southwest and very Santa Fe style. Emily made a great choice in all areas including the quietness so we could enjoy the round table discussion with ease.
Ginny Gorman of Rhode Island made the flight to Denver Colorado then drove to Santa Fe with fellow ActiveRain friend Joan Cox. REALTORS Joan & Ginny made a mini vacation out of their journey and from the sounds of it really enjoyed their time in New Mexico and The City Different.
Girl Friday (aka) my wife, Debbie and I made the 60 mile trip up to Santa Fe from Albuquerque for the 4 hour meet-up. No way we were going to miss out on the Santa Fe ActiveRain meet-up and the opportunity to meet and converse with these three powerhouse ladies!
After introductions and during our meal we began to brainstorm, ask questions, agree and disagree and the always fun loving Joan took notes on a handy paper napkin and promised to forwarding all the the we learned from each. Of course there was much laughter about work and different life circumstance we have all experienced at one time or another. But we agree what goes on the road stays on the road so I’ll leave it at that .... :)
The Santa Fe ActiveRain meet up was very educational and helpful and I know I now have three new friends for life in and out of ActiveRain. If you have the opportunity to attend a meet-up I implore you not to miss the chance to meet your AR associates and pals in real life. Not only to learn from each other but to realize just how awesome they are in person. Even though the skies were blue and the sun was shining indeed ActiveRain Poured Into Santa Fe NM.
Being the only guy at the ActiveRain meet-up in Santa Fe did have it’s perks :)

Oh John, This is so great to see all your smiling faces. What a terrific opportunity for you all and it must have been fun, fun, fun!
John, Ginny and I talked about this all the way home! How much fun to meet everyone, but the valuable information we all shared! This meet up was the BEST because we could all share information for us all to use in different parts of the Country! THX to Emily - she was wonderful, and meeting you and Debbie puts the faces with the (Alabama) voice! We should all recommend meet ups to include those from out of the area! WAS FABULOUS!
John: Great write-up on what sounds like a fun time had by all 4.75 AR members in Santa Fe NM. ;-)
Sounds like a great time was had by all and, the photo is just perfect-surrounded by the 4 brilliant blondes!
John, what a great time was had & to connect with everyone was amazing...we shared so much & hopefully we will all take it up a notch in the 'Rain' and beyond...more than a meet-up this was a guaranteed hang-out! Now i know what AL girl Deb is!
Thanks for sharing your meet up experience and photographs. Tell us about the new things that you learned that will improve your business.
Thanks, John, for your re-blog of Mortgage Process Tips For Home Buyers.
Have an outstanding week, with your camera in hand.
Good morning John -- sounds like a fun time --- but after reading your post a couple times I'm still confused 4.75 -- what am I missing?
Thanks for sharing the Active Rain event recap. Some good info.
Now that is way cool Q Man..............how fun. Looks like you all had a great time together.
The time has come to meetups around the country. WE have a great network with one another keep it going
Good deal John. This one guy thing at the meeup seems to be a recurring theme. Did you ready Brenda's post about Jerry being the only guy?
John, Great location, great group of people, no wonder you had a great time!
Looks like another successful meet up. . congratulations to all participants... we have a great community!
So glad you had a great turnout. I have tried to hold two of these and maybe Houston is just too spread out for many to participate. Looks like you had fun.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time! So great that you all could get together. And, nice photo too :)
Hi John...Looks like you were keep busy with the Full Slate on Active Rain Ladies...Did you manage to get a few words in?...Ha
Cheers, thanks for sharing you Meet Up
John, sounds like a good time was had by all and a very worthwhile get together. I have to ask, who took up 3/4's of the space.
John There is no question it was a success - you are all smiling :)
John-Congrats on your meet up and the relationships that were generated.
How fun is this? I loved going to my last one! Sounds like a great time had by all!!!!
Okay, everyone's asking and you're not telling - what's with the 4.75? Are you saying you were only partly there? LOL.
You are on VERY BLESSED man, is all I can say. Debbie counts for 1.25 in my book. You need to change that number to 5.25. We all know she is the GREAT woman behind her man!!
Hi John - Sorry I missed the party - that sounds like ti was great get-together and well worth the travel time for everyone involved.
John, looks like going the distance paid off, you all seem to have a great possitive and friendly experience.
Good meet up!
That's neat. Ginny will travel far for an authentic Cinco de Mayo won't she? I was thinking maybe AZ, NM, CO, although my geography sucks. RI was not in my mind when I clicked on your link.
John - that is so cool. We also had a powerhouse meetup w/ 3 states last July - with Ginny (RI), Dagny & Judy (CT) and me (NY). Super productive day. So glad you got to experience the same thing. We need to do another one soon...and I think I may invite my friends from NJ.
Oh and what a great bunch. I know all of you...well except Debbie who I hear abt from you and she has a great name.
Dear John -
HMMMMM maybe I will write up the two person ARup in Baltimore next week ... Or the three person one in Washington DC next week ...
You have inspired me!
Have a happy day -
Lynn
John, thanks for your endorsement of the AR meet ups, looks like everyone had a good time! Thanks for overview, just looking at the attendees I know it was pretty powerful.
Absolutely wonderful, John! Very happy to hear that you all got to meet and share. Wishing you a great start to the week!
Hi John, great report on the "meet up." And you did an excellent job of naming the usual supects! :)
I am so sorry to have missed this John! It sounds like you had a terrific time with "the girls!!" ;) Sante Fe is one of my absolute favorite towns so I'm sure you not only enjoyed the company and information shared, but the food as well!
Just a quick note --- an apology for misnaming your wife in a past comment and a big thank you for your ongoing support. Sending sunshine from Sarasota your way!
Boy, I'd have driven the 2 days to get there....Santa Fe is one of my most favorite places in the world.
John this looks like it was a fun Meet Up! You are a thorn surrounded by lovely roses LOL!!!
John,
Wow congrats to all who attended the Santa Fe MeetUp and I am very happy you folks had an extremely successful meeting. People will travel to both Albuquerque and Santa Fe as there are so many things to and see. Houston not so much and very few tourists come here. Austin TX and San Antonio a big yes to tourists as both have numerous visitors all year long.
Hi John. I bet you had a great weekend. Hope to join a meet soon down my way.
Hey! What about me? I was in Santa Fe last weekend. Uh huh. No problem. my feelings aren't hurt.

John (QMan) - now that's a great meetup! It looks like you guys had a great time meeting each other and brainstorming. So, Ginny...you've made the meet up in Santa Fe and the East coast, time you came to South Florida for a meet up.
John I'm so glad you got a chance to go. I know you kept commenting on everybody elses meetup posts wishing you could go. Sounds like you and the AR Chicks has a blast!!
John, thanks for you take on our meetup. Frankly, the women are still talking... There is a lot more to the story like what happened before you and Deb arrived and of course after...! Overall the experience could be billed as a best selling novel. Everyone stay tuned for the rest of the story!
John, I know you ALL had a great time and walked away with some valuable information. THis makes me want to attend the next one that is close to me...like Virginia.
John, that's a fabulous meet up group. I'm jealous that you got to meet these lovely ladies.
