John, This sounds like a great activity to attend! We would be in a world of hurt without trees! It does sound like a good thing to learn about local forests in the areas in which we live!

Trees are obviously critical to the well being of Mother Earth. I did not realize it wil be Arbor Day. The program you discuss in your blog sounds excellent. Juli above is very on the money about all of just planting one small tree.
What a great photo of those magnificent old trees! I love cottonwoods, do go there in autumn when the leaves turn and get a shot of that perfect yellow against a brilliant blue October sky.

Hey John! Free and trees are two things I like. We have a tree program coming to an end, unfortunatley, in just a couple of days. Plant a tree and get $150 rebate. I think its good for our envirnment but also provides nice shade and an oveall happy feeling. Blessings.
