Don’t Look Back You’re Not Going That Way

Don’t Look Back You’re Not Going That Way

Dont look back

When I ran across this little saying it struck me how simple and true the statement is. Don’t look back, you’re not going that way!  Make peace with the past and set yourself free.  Focus on today, the future and all the positive things it holds.  Life is in front of us waiting ready to be taken on right now.  What are we waiting on?  Let’s take life on and not look back!

If you're looking to buy or sell a home in the Albuquerque, Rio Rancho & surrounding NM areas contact me I'm ready to exceed your real estate expectations!

I like that saying, too.  And, since there isn't much road ahead, I had better pay attention to it.

John, Great saying and also a great way to promote yourself as the "go-to" agent in Alburquerque!

Love the thought.  We can learn by where we have been, especially not to back again.

I often tease that I don't have a rear view mirror in my car because I'm only focused on moving forward!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful quote with us this afternoon.  I like the idea of making peace with the past, letting go and setting ourselves free.   The future is before us.  Thanks

John,  I couldn't agree more.  Deal with issues that arise as they come up.  Complain and rant about them for 5 to 15 minutes, then move on.  Don't dwell on negative things or it will drag you down and keep you from enjoying the present and the future.

John, how true that is! Thanks for sharing the thought and reminding me of my direction:)

Good post, John.  Too many of us cling to negative thoughts from the past.

Enjoy the beauty of nature at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond, VA.

John I was just chatting about this very thing with a forlorn agent today.  Good grief all he could do was continue to hash over and over what he didn't do blah blah blah.  Focus on the future  - make a plan and stop looking back. Duh!!!

Hi Ron,  I love it, hey when the road starts getting shorter and our eyesight begins to go we better focus on that road ahead.

Hi Alexandra,  I like sharing inspiration is so uplifting!

Hi Larry and Sheila,  It really is simple and true, sometime just letting go of the past will set us free.

Hello Ruth, Learning from our past is so important, its how we become the individuals we are today, using what we have learned to guide our new path.

Hi Craig,  I can see you as a straight ahead pedal to the metal kinda guy. Git r Done!

Hello Michele,  Good thought indeed, if were carrying around yesterdays luggage how are ever going to get it all through the new doors?

Hi Belinda,  Oh, I can rant but like you I try to forget it ASAP! Sometimes I cant resist going back for another dose of misery but I soon tire of the drama.

Hello Erika, I got a gut feeling you know full well the direction your headed..FORWARD!

Howdy Roy,  Yes Sir, nobody wants any clingons..LOL

Hi Anna..or is it Dolly? I cant tell, kinda looks like Dolly hair but that nose. Oh my that nose!  Anyway, yep if you dont succeed today better get up and try try again. Nobody is going to do it for you that is for sure!

Ladie and Gents, Thank you as always for dropping in and sharing your uplifting thoughts and comments, I do appreciate each of you!

Best Regards,

From The Q

Great saying John and so very true! It's fine to look back to reminisce but for not too long and definitely not to dwell on!

Boy, I was your first commenter on this post.  Seems like yesterday.  Hope you can reach your goal tomorrow....and don't look back.

Definitely good advice. We have used similar words to our clients suggesting that they don't look in the rearview mirror constantly but that most of their time they are look straight ahead. :). Of course we are talking about home pricing, not life. :) Joy Daniels (Joy Daniels Real Estate Group, Ltd.) 4:22pm • #2

Well there's no looking back for you as you climb the Leaderboard "in the Rain" and are almost at 500K........that calls for celebration, so I'm going to congratulate you in advance big guy!  Woo Hoo!  Getting to know you and the Mrs. has truly been a pleasure.

John~ I don't know how I missed this post the first time around.  Thank goodness for Ron Marshall's reblog!  It's often tempting to look back and say, Wow, I could have handled that better, but the truth is simple....we are not going that way! We need to look toward the future!
