The Great Sand Dunes Move Through The Seasons of Time.

The Great Sand Dunes Move Through The Seasons of Time.

The Great Sand Dunes State Park in Southern Colorado is an amazing place to take in the beauty of stunning sand dunes at the base of the majestic Sangre De Christo (Blood of Christ) mountain range.  The depth and texture of this place is beyond description.  The wildlife was plentiful including Deer, Coyote and stern warnings of Bear. The Medano Creek is a small stream that flows at the base of the Sand Dunes but its not a constant flow like a normal stream instead it comes in waves much to the delight of young and old wading through the sand warmed waters. Fall was closing in and snow was in the high country waiting to take hold of the  Sand Dunes. By design we missed the summer crowd and enjoyed the Sand Dunes camping by a full moons light. A stunning destination to enjoy some quiet tranquility as the Great Sand Dunes move through the seasons of time.  Here is a great YouTube video!
