Responding To Blogs Is Like Christmas Cards
After reading a post yesterday about blogging it has brought some thought and reflection on my part about blogging in Active Rain. There are many AR bloggers that daily post their 10 in order to receive their 25 points per response. There are others that probably do read post and remain quiet for their personal reasons. My take on AR is that points certainly matter but during my short time here in the Rain blogging, responding and commenting has brought much more to my life than points ever will. Some days I am just to busy to respond to each and every comment but I give it my best shot and if I can’t make the time I post one Thank You! blog at days end to all that dropped by and took the time to post on my blog. So it dawned on me that commenting and responding to blogs is like Christmas cards if you want to receive them you better send them. Responding is a great way of building contacts, getting to know other agents and their specialties, personalities and credibility. This is a pefect format for those times we will need to refer
a valued client to another state in the U.S.A or even another country. I am truly grateful for those that respond to my post and I do my best to return the favor as quickly as possible. This is a common courtesy that only takes a moment or two. For those true AR newbies, posting on others blogs is highly suggested in order get your name, your business and what you're all about in front of others. I make new AR friends all the time welcoming, respecting and learning from each one of them. Remember with the holidays just around the corner keep in mind that commenting and responding to blogs is like Christmas cards send if you expect to receive.
