In any kind of “people” business, building long-term relationships is the key to continued success.
These relationships must be built upon a foundation of trust. In order to establish trust, one must first demonstrate credibility.
And since most prospects are likely to have their first interaction online, it is absolutely ESSENTIAL that our online presence accurately portrays the person that we are and the services that we offer.
Puffery may get you a name and a number, but it probably won’t lead to a successful business relationship. Because once one’s perception of credibility is damaged, it is nearly impossible to reestablish.
How much better to start off on the “right foot,” with a fair and accurate first impression of who we are and what we do!
And it’s the best way to allow prospects to “get to know” us from the get-go!
