We noticed a female House Finch fluttering in and out of our backyard umbrella. The mate soon joined in the building of their Albuquerque luxury home in our umbrella. As badly as we needed the shade we left the happy House Finches to go about their task. We watched as they carefully tended their eggs then one day we heard the sweet sounds of baby chirps. Soon the babies learned to fly and were off on their own. Sometimes it’s just the simple things that bring great joy.
