New Mexico Wildfire Moon
The smoke from the massive New Mexico wildfires brought beautiful sunsets and moon-rises. Saturday, May 26th 2012 I shot this photo of the New Mexico Wildfire Moon as it rose over the West Mesa. You can easily see the beautiful red/smokey hue just as I did. The smoke was thick and I only wanted to be outdoors just long enough to get a couple of photos of this New Mexicio Moon painted with the smoke of the New Mexico Wildfires.
As these tragic and devastating fires rage out of control please keep the men and women that courageously fight these New Mexico Wildfires in your prayers. As of this morning the Baldy Fire has scorched over 150,000 acres being the state of New Mexico largest single wildfire. The fire is in the Gila pronounced "Heela" wilderness and has burned many summer homes as well.
