Are all real estate sales negotiable? Yes they can be.

This well written and very true post comes via fellow Active Rain member Richard Weisser.  In order to give credit where credit is truly due please stop by Richards page and leave you comments and input.  I'm sure Richard will appreciate your time.   

“Are all the terms of sale negotiable?” Well yes. As long as everybody is …I often get asked by a client considering making a offer on a property: “Are all the terms of sale negotiable?”

In theory, the answer is YES. Parities may mutually consent to any price and terms that are satisfactory to them. After all, a contract is defined as a “meeting of the minds” and often that takes a lot of haggling.

In practice though, the answer is something more along the lines of:

YES, as long as all parties are WILLING to negotiate.

There is neither law nor rule governing flexibility. If any party to a potential contract elects to stand firm, negotiations are essentially over.

At that point, it is a simple matter of acceptance or rejection.
